The treatment for tooth decay is a filling. There are multiple options for filling material, but the most common are amalgam (silver) and composite fillings.
Composite fillings, also known as tooth-colored fillings, are a popular choice for patients wanting to maintain a natural look. The composite material is matched to the natural color of your teeth, making composite fillings virtually invisible. Composite material is durable and typically involves removing less of the tooth than is required for amalgam fillings. Composite fillings may also be used for chipped or broken teeth and filling gaps between teeth.

Dental crown is used to entirely cover a damaged tooth to strengthen it, to improve its appearance, shape or alignment. These are used to protect a weak tooth, replace a large filling and in covering a dental implant.

Advanced teeth whitening technology has enabled dentists to whiten teeth without adversely affecting the tooth structure. In tray whitening, an impression is taken and a custom tray is made for the patient. Then, a supply of whitening gel is given to the patient and he/she wears the tray for a few hours each day (techniques differ) for a period of time until an acceptable result is achieved.
Sensitivity of the teeth is a normal side-effect of this whitening method and is almost always transitional. On the other hand, in-office whitening is the most efficient means of whitening. There are a number of different types used, but the process is very similar for these methods; you can have your teeth whitened in one session and achieve significant results. Your dentist can give you more detailed information and help you decide which method is more suitable for you and your teeth

Root canal therapy is a dental treatment used to repair and save a tooth that has been infected due to decay or cracking. Teeth that have been injured and compromised can also be treated with root canal therapy to maintain function and longevity.
A root canal involves the removal of the pulp of the tooth. The pulp contains connective tissue, nerves and blood vessels. The advantage of a root canal is that it enables you to keep and use your tooth. Signs that root canal therapy may be needed are:
• Severe tooth pain while chewing
• Pain that wakes you up at night
• Teeth that are sensitive to hot or cold
• Discoloration or darkening of the tooth
• Swollen gums in the area of the infected tooth
We know the mention of a root canal can raise anxiety in many patients. That is why The Gentle Dental Center is dedicated to the comfort and care of all our patients. Our team of friendly dental technicians and staff is dedicated to making your procedure as stress-free as possible.

Wisdom teeth are the third and final set of molars that most of the people get in their late teen or early twenties. Sometimes these teeth create various oral issues for you if they are misaligned or somehow only partially erupted through your gum. When they are misaligned, they can cause damage to adjacent teeth, jawbones or nerves. When they are partially erupted, it leads to infection which results in pain, swelling, jaw stiffness and general illness.
The simple solution for the wisdom teeth is to extract them before the problem gets bigger. When they are removed at an early level, they cause less pain and it is also easy to remove them because of their less grip but at a later age, when the roots of wisdom teeth are completely developed, it is a much more painful and difficult process. If you are going through some kind of swelling or pain, consult the doctors at Care and Cure Dental

Routine examinations and x-rays are necessary to identify potential dental and medical problems such as gum disease, bone loss, strokes, heart disease, infection, and many other issues. In office salivary DNA and genetic susceptibility testing allows your dentist to identify problems that you won’t find at home with a toothbrush and a bathroom mirror.

Scaling and root planing is the process of smoothing out the root surfaces of the teeth by removing hard calculus deposits and debris from below the gums. A licensed dental hygienist will perform the SRP using special hand instruments, an ultrasonic scaler, or a combination of both.

Re-Root canal treatment involves removing the infected root filling, cleaning the canal and replacing the root filling. During re-treatment, the affected tooth is reopened to gain access to the root canal filling. This may require disassembling crowns, posts and other restorative materials in order to reach the root of the tooth. The filling material from the initial procedure is removed and the canals are thoroughly cleaned.

Apexification is a method of dental treatment to induce a calcific barrier in a root with incomplete formation or open apex of a tooth with necrotic pulp. Pulpal involvement usually occurs as a consequence of trauma or caries involvement of young or immature permanent teeth.

Apexigenesis is a procedure that addresses the shortcomings involved with capping the inflamed dental pulp of an incompletely developed tooth. The goal of apexogenesis is the preservation of vital pulp tissue so that continued root development with apical closure may occur.

A simple extraction is the removal of a tooth that is visible in your mouth. It’s common for a general dentist to perform simple extractions.

A dental bone graft is a procedure performed to increase the amount of bone in a part of the jaw where bone has been lost or where additional support is needed. Bone may be taken from elsewhere in the body and surgically fused to existing bone in the jaw. Sometimes, synthetic bone material is used.

Oral cancer screening is an examination performed by a dentist or doctor to look for signs of cancer or precancerous conditions in your mouth. The goal of oral cancer screening is to identify mouth cancer early, when there is a greater chance for a cure. Most dentists perform an examination of your mouth during a routine dental visit to screen for oral cancer. Some dentists may use additional tests to aid in identifying areas of abnormal cells in your mouth. Medical organizations disagree on whether healthy people without risk factors for mouth cancer need oral cancer screening. No single oral exam or oral cancer screening test is proved to reduce the risk of dying of oral cancer. Still, you and your dentist may decide that an oral exam or a special test is right for you based on your risk factors.

Denture services

Partial and Complete Denture services

Dentures (also known as false teeth) are prosthetic devices constructed to replace missing teeth, and are supported by the surrounding soft and hard tissues of the oral cavity. Conventional dentures are removable (removable partial denture or complete denture). However, there are many denture designs, some which rely on bonding or clasping onto teeth or dental implants (fixed prosthodontics). Two types of dentures are available — complete and partial dentures. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.

Dental Implant

Dental Implant

A dental implant is a surgical component that interfaces with the bone of the jaw or skull to support a dental prosthesis such as a crown, bridge, denture, or facial prosthesis or to act as an orthodontic anchor. A dental implant is a titanium screw lodged permanently into the jaw bone. A ceramic tooth is later connected to this implant. In other words, dental implants pave the way to ensuring artificial teeth are now directly connected to the body. They serve as a much more stable replacement for removable dentures. Dental implants can be done for either individual teeth, small groups of teeth or even for an entire arch at once. As the number of teeth being replaced increases, there may be less dental implants needed to hold the artificial teeth in place. For example, a 14 tooth arch can be done with just 8-10 dental implants.
